Class Content

This course is based on MOE's revised syllabus for the two subjects. The subjects will be taught in a systematic way. Lively illustrations will be used to explain complicated concepts so that they will be easily grasped and understood by the students. There will be ample exercises and reviews to build one's foundation, and to help prepare for what would be taught in school.

CHOO EE LEAN Early Childhood Specialist, Choo Ee Lean, has been conducting Phonics and Reading (for K1 to P1 students), and English and Maths Preparation for Primary 1 (for K2 and P1 students) enrichment courses approved by the PA since 1998. Ee Lean is a qualified early childhood educator with a Certificate in Childcare and Child Development and a Degree in Business Administration. In her continuous efforts to upgrade her skills, and new teaching methods that enhances the learning experience of her course participants, she has also attained a Diploma in Pre-school Education (accredited by the MOE and MCYS), and a Certificate in Phonics and Phonetics. She is ranked top 25% among all People’s Association’s trainers(audited by Forbes Research).Over the years, Ee Lean has successfully developed a powerful integrated curriculum that combines the best of both Montessori and Action Phonics approaches and techniques from around the world. Her teaching methods are based on her teaching philosophy that children learn best when they are actively engaged through hands-on experience. Her courses are specially designed to be interactive, multi-sensory, activity-based and in-context and for children with different learning styles. She has nurtured children to be confident, life-long learners and creative thinkers through play-based learning. With a passion for teaching, she is able to instill confidence and interest in them towards learning. Her courses are well received by parents, and children enjoy attending her classes. She is currently conducting enrichment courses at private enrichment centres, CCs, RCs, NCs, and primary schools islandwide.Ee Lean worked as a Senior Account Manager with a multinational advertising agency before she decided to pursue her passion in teaching young children.
